Kyan Shout Che

Founder

Kyan Shout Che's beginnings were far from privileged. A difficult childhood in Myanmar taught her early what it means to be needed. After relocating to Malaysia, she refused to be defined by circumstance, transforming hardship into a distinctly feminine acuity and resilience—able to perceive pain points in the details and act decisively when it matters. In 2020, she founded T&I Foodstuff Industries Sdn Bhd, positioning the company as an amplifier of good: elevating “care for others” from occasional charity to a long-term commitment embedded in processes and systems.

She believes that gentleness is not weakness — and that long-term thinking is the sharpest edge of women’s leadership. Under her guidance, her team co-organized blood donation drives with Vangoh Hotel Penang, allowing bags of warm blood to bridge the distance between strangers. She personally coordinated supplies and oversaw the distribution of 500 goodie bags, turning promises of care and support into a tangible reality.

But her kindness doesn’t stop there. Together with her team, she extended her reach to local primary schools, old folks’ homes, and orphanages — bringing care to those often overlooked. Beyond Malaysia’s borders, their compassion travelled to Myanmar, where they funded aid for earthquake refugees in remote mountain areas, providing essential support and a sense of hope in the toughest of times.

Her leadership is understated yet steady and strong. She turns care into commitment, and commitment into institution. When business and philanthropy appear to diverge, she consistently chooses the course that benefits others. Through attentiveness, she creates certainty; through discipline, she ensures continuity—offering a resolutely feminine answer to leadership: it need not be loud to lift many. She models a standard worth following, grounded not in labels or theatrics, but in showing up with integrity and delivering on every promise.

This is the meaning of her standing on the stage of the Golden Phoenix Benevolence Award: not for the size of any single donation, but for making goodness a method and method a culture. With women’s intuition, she identifies gaps in society; with women’s resilience, she closes systemic blind spots. She humanizes commerce and professionalizes philanthropy. Her success is written not only in financial statements, but in the everyday lives she has illuminated—a steady, determined, gentle yet powerful expression of female leadership that merits the highest respect and offers every woman a reason for pride.
